State of the art – Killer obstacle Course

The length of the obstacle course is 500m and has two lanes.  The track comprises of 20 obstacles placed at 10 m intervals.

Killer Obstacle Course Layout

 1. Rope Ladder – 5 m high

Free Style Climbing. Cross the bar and descend or jump down to the prepared ground on the opposite side.

 2. Double Beam – 1st beam – 0.95 m high, 2nd beam – 1.35 m high

Jump onto the first beam. Make contact with the ground between the two beams, then pass over the 2nd beam.

 3. Trip Wire – 5 wires – 8m

Wires to be hurdled. Jump over each one of the 5 wires successively and in free style. Touching of the wires is not allowed.

 4.Network of wires – Length – 20m, Height – 0.5m

Free Style crawling underneath the network. Touching with any body part is not allowed.

5. Ford – 5 cylindrical plots, Length – 8m

Cross the ford by stepping on the plots only. It is forbidden to have contact with the ground. There is no obligation to use all the plots.

 6. Espalier  – 3 horizontal tubular bars, height of highest bar – 2.2m

All styles are permitted provided that the top bar is crossed.

 7. Balance Beam – Length – 10.4m

Mount the beam on the one side. Cross it lengthwise, at the far end jump to the ground. If contact is made with the ground before finishing the balance beam, the contender must recommence at the beginning of the obstacle.

 8. Sloping with rope – Height – 3m.

Free Style climbing, with or without using the rope. Cross the top and jump down to the prepared ground on the other side, the rope may be used to descend.

 9. Horizontal Beams – Height of 1st and 3rd beam – 1.2m, height of 2 nd  and 4th beam – 06.m

Cross the beams in the following order: Over, under, over, under

 10. Irish Table – Height – 2m.

Free Style Crossing of the board. The uprights are not to be used in crossing the table.

11. Tunnel and Twin Beams – Height and breadth of tunnel – 0.5m, Height of 1st beam – 1.2m, Height of 2nd beam – 0.5m

Sequence: Dive through the tunnel, climb over the 1st beam, and pass under the 2nd beam.

12. Four Steps of Beams – Height of beams, 1st – 0.75m, 2nd – 1.25m, 3rd – 1.8m, 4th – 2.30

 14. Assault Wall I – Height – 1m

 15. Pit – Depth – 2.0m

Jump into the pit, and then climb the front wall, without using the angles and the sides when going into or out of the pit.

 16. Vertical Ladder – height – 4.0m

Free Style Climbing. Cross the bar and descend or jump down to the ground on the opposite side.

 17. Assault Wall II – Height – 1.9m

Free Style Crossing

 18. Balance Beam (Zigzag) – Length – 14.36m

Mount the beam, cross it lengthwise. At the far end jump to the ground. If contact is made with the ground before finishing the balance beam, the contender must recommence at the beginning of the obstacle.

 19. Chicane – Length – 8m

Run through the chicane. The railing or the uprights may not be touched.

 20. Assault walls in succession – Height of walls: 1st – 1m, 2nd – 1.2m, 3rd – 1m

All three walls to be crossed.
